Smoking is about to be off-limits in West Virginia’s prisons.
Starting this Saturday… inmates and prison employees will only be able to use tobacco products outside. By next July… prisons will be totally smoke-free. The plan originally called for prisons to become smoke-free this year, but some lawmakers worried about the reaction from some inmates if they were forced to quit cold-turkey.
