Bar owner fined for smoking ban violation
EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. The owner of an East Providence bar is fined for violating the state’s new anti-smoking law.
A Municipal Court judge yesterday fined Arthur Quattrucci 250 dollars and found him guilty of one violation — but innocent of another.
The new law prohibits smoking in most enclosed public spaces. The state Health Department says the trial was the first of an alleged violation of the smoking law.
