FYI:?the recent FDA news release:FDA and NIH create first-of-kind Tobacco Centers of Regulatory ScienceSo, we have an FDA funded program designed to generate (highly biased) research to inform the FDA on the (misuse of) science-based regulation of tobacco products to protect public health.? The Tobacco Centers of Regulatory Science (TCORS)?are all tobacco control researcher/advocates.? They do?not represent?business interests (traditional tobacco or e-cigarette companies), and certainly not small businesses,?the citizen taxpayer or?consumer.??

53 Million tax payer Dollars for grant moochers? The FDA is spending $53m at a time when Congress is facing another looming fiscal cliff(Sept 30th), …more sequestering, layoffs, furloughs, cutting essential services, ….because our government is spending too much money.?

LOBBYING? And it sounds to me?like FDA (government) is funding?an effort to allow Tobacco Control to lobby the FDA, congress, state and local legislatures? I would like this investigated.? It quacks like a duck.

Tobacco Control efforts have decimated small business like hotels, bars and restaurants, ….and even our Veterans clubs(see reference below).? Veterans who took significant risks to defend our country are now punished for our risky behavior.?

I have asked my Congressional reps?to support an investigation into the FDA TCORS program as an illegal lobying effort.??

As we get closer to the fiscal cliff, my advice is:Bring a rope. Tie a knot and hang on.
